The Human Resource and Workforce Development graduate education program is designed to increase the learning and performance capacities of individuals and organizations.
This program prepares scholar/practitioners to develop and facilitate interventions designed to enhance individual and organization performance. This program combines Adult & Lifelong Learning (ADLL) and Human Resource & Workforce Development (HRWD) theory and best practices to advance professionals interested in improving the capacity of individual and organization development within the workplace.
Human Resource and Workforce Development prepares individuals to apply integrated training, organizational development, and career planning and counseling skills to the design, management, and evaluation of programs to improve individual productivity, employability, and job satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. Includes instruction in psychology; organizational behavior; principles of adult education; occupational counseling; skill testing and evaluation; program design; consulting practice; organizational development; and applications to issues such as training, management development, customer service, and total quality management.
The Doctor of Education in Human Resource and Workforce Development Education will prepare graduates for leadership, teaching and research careers.
