Module 15: Adult Education Licensure

If you are interested in obtaining your teaching license in adult education, there are certain courses you must complete. The WDED program offers the courses needed for licensure, but students are not licensed simply because they complete their master's degree. Licensure is granted through the Arkansas Department of Education. The appropriate plan must be followed, which may or may not include an internship. You may click here to access detailed information about the internship.

All students must also complete one or two state-mandated assessments to obtain their license.

Typically, students who are seeking licensure choose the Adult Education concentration, but students following the Human Resource Development Education option can take the necessary coursework as well.

The plan for adult education licensure is available on our Web site. Review it carefully, and alert your advisor to the fact that you want to pursue your license!
